Novak Djokovic’s major goal this year is to win Olympic gold

The Paris Olympics are very important – the Olympics have always been a priority for me. But in the last three or four Olympics, it’s not been possible for me to reach the latter stages [the final]. The situation is a bit different now. We are playing our first Olympics on clay. I want to be ready physically and mentally.Novak Djokovic said
The Paris Olympics will get underway in July after the conclusion of Roland Garros. Before that, Djokovic will also be playing at Wimbledon, but he said that these Grand Slam titles will be a bonus for him as he wants to reach his peak for the Olympics.
However, Djokovic has won an Olympic medal—a bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At the 2012 London Olympics, he finished fourth. Then, in Rio and Tokyo, he lost in the first round and finished fourth, respectively.
Djokovic last played at Indian Wells and missed the Miami Open. He will next play at the Monte-Carlo Masters.
