Novak Djokovic: Age is Just a Number as Tennis Star Sets Sights on More Victories and Records

Novak Djokovic has plans for the future as he leaves the fans excited.

36-year-old Novak Djokovic is still one of the fittest tennis players there is. He has set multiple records throughout his career and continues to do so. When asked about his longevity, Djokovic said that he still has more plans for the future and looks to win as many matches as possible with the limited time he has in tennis.

With proper fitness and effort towards his wellness, Djokovic has managed to maintain his form even after the age of 30, placing him among the few of the top athletes in the world. Even Djokovic told the Monte Carlo Press that he feels that he has had a better post-30 than before that.

I always kind of strategically had a long-term plan in my head too, you know, play as long as possible so I can give my career a better chance to win more, you know, titles and break records and the things that I have been doing actually the last four, five years. You know, I have arguably had the better part of my career post-30 than before 30. So yeah, that's definitely due to and thanks to the care and the amount of time that I put in the wellness.

Djokovic, after thirty, has been just phenomenal, playing better than some of the youngsters out there. Currently, he is 36 years old and is still one of the fittest players on tour. With three Monte Carlo titles, the Serbian hopes to add more to his list.

Novak Djokovic makes it to his 77th Masters semi-finals after beating Alex De Minaur to the punch

Novak Djokovic has been having a slow 2024. After an Australian Open semi-final loss and an early loss at Indian Wells, the Serbian tries his luck at the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters.

The Serbian seemed to have found his mojo on clay, as his dominance was once again witnessed in Monaco. After a first-round win against Roman Safiullin, he moved on to take revenge against Lorenzo Musetti before facing Alex De Minaur in the quarterfinals.

With one more revenge plan plotting along, Djokovic finished the Australian in straight sets to seal his spot in the semi-finals. Though De Minaur fought every point, Djokovic just got the better of him, beating the Australian 7-5,6-4. With this, Djokovic reached his 77th Masters Semi-finals, which is the most for any player.

Other than this, Djokovic also holds the record for most Masters Finals appearances and titles, 58 and 40 respectively. With yet another opportunity to get to the finals, the Serbian awaits the winner of Ugo Humbert and Casper Ruud.
