Myth 2: You Don’t Need to Wear Sunscreen Everyday
No matter the weather, it’s important to wear sunscreen every day to protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays. Sunscreen helps protect your skin from sunburn, skin cancer, and other skin damage caused by ultraviolet radiation. Wearing sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or higher offers the best protection against UV rays. It’s also important to apply sunscreen generously and reapply frequently if you’re spending time outdoors or in direct sunlight. Remember to avoid staying in the sun for long periods of time, even when wearing sunscreen, as there is no such thing as a “safe” tan!
